The In-Tour project aims to close a gap in the European training system in the tourism sector. The qualification needs are specified and analysed in order to create the specifications for a European curriculum in the area of accessible tourism at the level of EQF 6 (tourism manager) and EQF 5 (service staff in the tourism sector). Accessible tourism is about allowing as many people as possible to participate in tourism activities. Facilitating tourism is not just a social responsibility – there are also significant business benefits to the targeted improvement in accessibility as it can boost the competitiveness of tourism in Europe.
